Salsa Class Descriptions
Level I

This is a must for proper technique, dance floor etiquette and foundation to build upon.
Level II
Enhancing dance styles with turn patterns, leading technique, styling, timing and musicality. It is important to have a solid understanding of basic salsa social dancing NY or LA style.
Shines/Styling
Add flair to your dance. Open to all levels. It's a workout and tons of fun!
Mini Workshop
This class will be a weekly intensive covering everything from basic fundamentals to turn patterns, shines and Cha Cha. The workshop will alternate between Salsa and Cha Cha check the calendar link for details. This is a comprehensive overview with the opportunity to tie it all together with dancing afterward. The turn patterns and shines are not as detailed or intricate as the regular hour classes.

Level I students are only allowed to take the first portion of the workshop. It is beneficial to watch the Level II section and then they can dance in the second half.

It is important for me to note that salsa social dancing is not simply "Street Dancing". It is social dancing, an aspect and history of a culture. With that said there is a level of technique and style that should be respected. Any dancer whether it be for fun or profession can and should dance well! Keep that in mind as you choose the path to follow with salsa instruction.

All NEW students interested in the partnering classes must take level I salsa until you are given permission to move to level II salsa classes. This is to ensure a solid foundation of salsa technique before moving onto turn patterns.
